The short version

Every calculator on TallyBarn runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to us, never stored on a server, and never appear in any log. We do not have accounts, so we do not hold names, email addresses or passwords.

We do use analytics to count visits and advertising to fund the site, and both of those set cookies if you allow them. That is the whole of it, spelled out below.

What we collect

Calculator inputs — not collected

Calculations happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. No input is transmitted. If you disconnect from the internet after the page loads, the calculators still work, which is the simplest demonstration of this.

Analytics

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators get used and how people arrive. This records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and whether a calculator was used on a page. It does not record what you typed into it.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings.

Advertising in the mobile app

The TallyBarn mobile app is the same set of calculators, and the same promise holds inside it: what you type stays on your device. Advertising there works differently from the website, so it is described separately rather than folded into the section above.

App advertising is served by Google AdMob, not AdSense. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier — the IDFA on iOS, the Advertising ID on Android — along with device type, operating system version, coarse location derived from IP address, and which parts of the app you used. That identifier is resettable, and it is not your name or your email; we never receive it either way.

You control it at the operating system level, which overrides anything the app does. On iOS, the app must ask before it can use the IDFA for tracking, and declining is honoured — you can also turn it off for every app under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, Settings → Google → Ads lets you delete the Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads. Declining does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised, and every calculator behaves identically either way.

Analytics work the same way in the app as on the website — the Google Analytics section above applies there too, gated on the same consent choice. The one real difference in content: the medication and peptide dosing calculators are not included in the app at all. Not hidden, not gated — absent from the download.

Local storage

We store one item in your browser: your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page. It never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time.

Your choices

The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline. Declining means no analytics cookies and no personalised advertising cookies — the site still works and every calculator behaves identically. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. Because we hold no accounts and no calculator inputs, the only data involved is what Google collects as a processor under the terms above. Requests can be sent to sahummel93@gmail.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Third parties

Google Analytics and Google AdSense are the only third-party services on the website; in the mobile app, Google AdMob replaces AdSense, as described above. There are no others on either. Google's handling of data across all three is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
